The Details

The UW. take on the US Navy safety vest. A classic of military wear worn for decades by workers and fishermen: Effectively a super practical tool vest, perfect for storing your everyday essentials, nautical or otherwise.

 

A forever favourite 'Ikat' has officially become a UW classic. Renowned as one of the world's exceptional artisan fabrics, it is the skilful technique of dyeing and imprinting the pattern into the yarn before weaving. This unusual Ikat has a complex 2 stage process combining a yarn-dyed block check with the Ikat technique. Produced on a hand loom which imparts its character into the natural slubs and variations which are integral to this uniquely handmade fabric. We have used it for our new ‘Judo Pant,’ an easy-to-wear pull-on with simple styling to show off the fabric to its best and the ‘Marine Gilet,’ something to add interest to any outfit.
