Getting dressed in the morning can feel like Groundhog Day, reaching for the same old pieces day in, day out. Whilst there’s nothing wrong with loving a trusty piece to death, sometimes it's good to break out of the routine. Enter our latest Kanthas, offering excitement and uniqueness as well as eliminating the risk of matching outfits with a friend.

"Kantha" is an Eastern Indian handcraft used to create one-of-a-kind textiles made by layering, patching, repairing and hand stitching pieces of fabric together.  The result is a rich patina of patterned fabric in random placements and covered in tiny hand stitches giving it a distinct and instantly recognizable texture. Each Kantha garment is totally unique, and the Universal Works Kantha Collection brings with it an opportunity for you to own an iconic UW style, safe in the knowledge that it’s the only one on the planet.

If you've been following us for a while, you'll recognise the eye-catching Kantha Baker’s Chore and Reversible Kyoto Work Jackets; this year we’ve added our Zip Gilet and Reversible Gilet to the line-up, giving you even more reason to embrace Kantha.

Our next Kantha release is on 12.04.24 and if past releases are anything to go by, these won’t be around for too long. If you are a SubClub member, you’ll be given priority access at 12:30pm BST ahead of the public launch at 5:00pm BST. Plus, you’ll be in for a chance to win a one-of-a-kind Kantha piece.
